Napa Racing Kingman Street Drags VI

Its official, September 18,19,and 20, 2009 downtown Kingman will again be turned into the "Worlds Largest Legal Street Drags".
If last year is a sign of what to expect this year, then participants and spectators alike better get here early. We had a record 246 participants last year and the weekend crowd was estimated at over 15,000 spectators.
This year we will open up the weekend with the traditional Friday registration and pre- event party.But on Friday night we have added in a new twist. We will hold the burn out contest on Friday night. Times are still to be determined, but the whole idea is to get some rubber down on the street for the racers. Friday night will be free to all spectators. All weekend race participant receive an entry into the burn out contest but it will be open for anyone who does not wish to race for the weekend to enter too.
Saturdays Drag Racing will follow a similar schedule to the past as we will open at 10:00am and race all day until 8:00pm.
This year in conjunction with the Kingman Down Town Merchants Association and the Route 66 Association Beale Street will be turned into the KSD VI Block Party and Car Show. There will be a car and motorcycle show held simultaneously with the races starting at 10am and after 8:00pm when the drag racing shuts down there will be live Concert for everyone.At 9pm trophys for the car show winners will be awarded as well as the winner of the SnapOn Tool Box Raffle, followed by more of the Concert.
Sunday will again be a second day of racing for all fans and participants and we will crown all class winners and the burn out contest winner at 4pm.
