Racer Information KSD VII:

Registration will start on Friday September 30th at 8am in the Power House Parking lot. You need to follow the traffic signs directing you to Second St. off of Andy Devine Ave to enter the registration area. When you come in on Andy Devine either from the East or West turn south on Second St. and the immediately turn right before the railroad tracks into the dirt lot east of the Powerhouse. You will be instructed where to go from there by staff, please follow the staff directions. Once you have registered our staff will do everything we can to assist you in locating proper places to pit. Please remember at all times this event is being conducted with the cooperation of the City of Kingman and its residents. No parking in any driveways, in front of any fire hydrants or any area specifically marked not to. Your cooperation in this is paramount to the success of the event and should you need it our staff will assist you in locating an appropriate spot. You are allowed one tow vehicle per race vehicle. All tow vehicles must be identified at registration and must have proper I.D. to operate during the event. Any tow vehicles without proper I.D. are subject to normal traffic laws and will be treated as such. If any vehicle is not street legal and does not have race car or tow vehicle I..D. it isn’t legal to drive on the streets of the City of Kingman. Tow Vehicles with proper I.D. are expected to operate with the same speed limit regulation as all race cars, 15mph.
Registration is $35 for the weekend for car and driver. The first 150 registered drivers will receive a complimentary “goodie bag”. If you wish anyone else to drive that car they also must register and have a drivers wrist band. A person may register as a driver only, it is not necessary to register a car to be a driver. Only persons with a drivers wrist band will be allowed to drive a car on the race track. Remember there is only one driver per car in a class and a car may only enter one class for competition. All cars may also run in the A1-Well Grudge Class. When the car is registered the competing driver is the only one who can drive the car during qualifying or competition, any additional drivers of that car can register but will only be allowed to run during the Grudge Class. Any runs the car makes during the Grudge Class do not count towards qualifying for the quick 8. We will monitor this the best we can and expect everyone to “honor” this rule.
The crew fee is $10 per day or $15 for the weekend and does not come with a car and driver fee. You must have crew I.D. wrist band to be with the car on the start line, we will be limiting the number of crew allowed with their car on the start line. Cars will stage down Grandview and turn left on Beale St. to stage. Track turn off is on Second St., after exiting the track please pull to the side before attempting to get your time slip. From that point on you are back on City Streets and you must conduct yourself as such. .Improper conduct will not be tolerated and will result in a ticket and/ or your immediate expulsion from the event with no refund. Once again race car and tow vehicle speed limit is 15mph. If you are on the start line with a driver or crew wrist band and your car isn’t on Beale St. in the staging lanes preparing to run you will be required to stand in the designated area for crew viewing. Once your car has run please go to the grandstands to watch racing, you will be limited on how long you will be allowed to stay in the crew viewing area.
You will be instructed how to get your car tech inspected when you register at the event. Check the event schedule when you register for run times.
Pre Tech inspection will be available starting on Friday September 23rd at Mertens Heavy Equipment Repair yard on East Andy Devine/Route 66 from 10am until 2pm. So registration is at 1st street now and not in the north end of the pit parking up on Gold street?? I downloaded a map and thats where it shows it be. Old map??

BigB's picture

its kind of complicating sounding but let me explain. On Friday registration will be in the Powerhouse parking lot you will enter from first street. If your traveling east you will turn right on first street and follow the signs if your traveling west on First st you will turn left and follow the signs. On Saturday registration will be on Gold St as it has been for the past three years at the entrance to the main pits.
Yes the map is last years this years is being finished right now and will be up soon.

Can a vehicle enter in 2 classes, and if so how would one register and pay?

Thanks.

retorq's picture

We have had that before. You pay for 2 cars, $70 for the weekend, $50 for just one day. You run each car in each class at the specified times. I believe KSD3 one of the guys from Havasu had a car in Pro and Unlimited and made it to the semis atleast in both.

I doubt my car will be ready so stop asking!!

Thanks retorq, but I was wondering if you could enter 1 Vehicle in 2 classes? not 2 vehicles in 2 classes...

Thanks. I am excited for this weekend, coming from Vegas!

retorq's picture

Ohh yeah, we've had people register in two classes in the past with one car. The only issue is if you make it to the finals in both, you would be hot lapping the car. Which 2 classes were you going to run??

I doubt my car will be ready so stop asking!!

BigB's picture

Two cars in two classes not one car in two classes logistically it just wont work sorry.

I was considering running truck and pure street? But if it too close to work out I will plan on truck only.

thanks.

Also any idea on how many trucks enter? Are we racing heads up or bracket in truck class?

retorq's picture

Heads up, truck class grows each year. We had 25 entries in Truck last year and 48 in Pure.

So were you looking to run your truck in both Pure and Truck??

I doubt my car will be ready so stop asking!!

http://www.digitalhijinx.com
http://www.route66wingsandwheels.com

Correct. Run in Pure and truck. but with that many in pure maybe Ill just stick to truck. What are the typical times cars are running in pure? May have the G/F run the mustang in it. also is the races heads up or bracket?

see other comments below, thx. Cool

Races are ALL heads up except for the trophy class. I can't really give you the times for last years Pure Street Class. We had a bit of an "issue" ...

Alright admin thanks. Lol. an issue huh?

Yea If its heads up I'll prolly stick to truck only. Thanks again everyone and see ya this weekend. Look for a Black New Body style Duramax!

Mike.

We would really like to have more Mustangs, maybe reconsider and come to have fun! I would like to see the car run. Smile

fast eddie's picture

Fast Eddie

retorq's picture

I understand the Kingman Tourism website posted it was 1/8th ...

I doubt my car will be ready so stop asking!!
